How very, very true and a interesting comment I heard the other day is if there was a vote taken at Synod for only men to be pastors it would not be passed

Indeed. It shows how silly the current system is.
What might the LCA be like if there was an AGM of members rather than a synodical structure where power is inordinately in the hands of clergy and committees?

Margit, thank you for your lovely word picture of what may have happened as Jesus body is handed down from the cross. Your words remind me that the Gospels reveal this crucial fact: that the very first human being to hold Christ’s sacred body is his mother Mary, a woman.
